Location Information (TOM Driver App)
The TOM Driver app collects precise and approximate location data from a
driver's device to provide live delivery tracking.
When a driver starts a delivery run in the app, we collect the device's location and use it to:
- show the delivery vehicle's position and estimated time of arrival (ETA)
to dispatch staff and customers in real time; and
- record delivery progress and the location at which deliveries are completed.
This location data is collected both while the app is in use and in the
background (even when the app is closed or not in use) during an active
delivery run. Location collection stops when the driver finishes or stops the
delivery, and is not collected when the driver is not on an active delivery.
Location data is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) to TOM's systems
and is used solely to operate the delivery and tracking features of the
platform. We do not sell location data, and we do not share it with third
parties for advertising.
