As their popularity grew, the business was faced with a challenge as their old, manual ordering systems couldn’t keep up with their rapidly expanding customer base. They needed a solution that could scale with them rather than stall the supplier-to-venue process.
The challenges
Gamekeepers needed a more streamlined and efficient end-to-end process that could support the growth of their business and the non-stop nature of supplying the food service community. In particular, they wanted to move away from their outdated manual processes and towards an automated system.
One of the biggest challenges they faced was poor visibility of their delivery vehicles, which meant they didn’t know the most efficient or cost-effective way of getting goods to customers in an appropriate timeframe. “We looked at a lot of software specific to the meat industry, but they were either too complex, not flexible enough, or built for large enterprises,” says Jerome Hoban, co-owner of Gamekeepers.

The solution
With TOM, Gamekeepers has been able to implement automated payment and invoicing integrations that feed into their existing financial systems, meaning far fewer instances of chasing late payments. Plus their customers can now track their own credits and see how their order is progressing.
Gaining full visibility of their delivery vehicles with TOM’s route optimisation features has also contributed to increased customer satisfaction, as Gamekeepers can now provide accurate ETAs for their customers.
They’re also able to refine their catch weight management through the software and fulfil their orders much more swiftly and seamlessly.
“Even procurement of stock is very easy now. We can start preparing orders in advance thanks to insights and reports that show us what we need to get out the door today, tomorrow or over the next few weeks,” says Jerome.
“On top of that, we can also automatically generate production reports for all our different departments, which we definitely couldn't do in the past.”
The outcome
Gamekeepers has been using TOM for six years and in that time, they’ve been able to streamline their entire order management process, create a better customer experience, and reduce their administrative burden and order errors.
“We now have full visibility of our fleet and orders, which has led to cost reductions, greater output and better customer service.”
